Introduction
About the University
The University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNMC) was the first full international campus established by a British university in Malaysia and one of the first. It opened its doors to around 80 students in September 2000 at a small city-centre site. Thirteen years later, the student population is close to 5000, and the University occupies a purpose-built campus on a 125-acre site close to Semenyih, about 35km south of Kuala Lumpur.
Nottingham University Malaysia is now a broad-based institution with 20 different academic areas and many study programs at foundation, undergraduate, master and PhD levels. A highly international community of students live and work in a campus environment where the academic study is complemented by a range of co-curricular activities, which help students develop employment-relevant skills. UNMC graduates are highly valued by employers in Malaysia and beyond.

The Universitas 21/partner university exchange is a competitive programme that offers undergraduate students the opportunity to study at a partner university for one semester or one academic year as part of their Nottingham degree. To be eligible you must have completed one year of your degree at Nottingham Malaysia and achieved a minimum pass mark of 60%. You must also be taking a degree programme that is also offered at the host university.

Well Structured Curriculam
The University of Nottingham offers a comprehensive and varied range of programmes, catering to students at all levels, through the foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate to PhD. Nottingham Malaysia programmes span a range of disciplines and subjects across arts and social sciences, engineering and science. Accommodation
On-Campus Accommodation
Nottingham University offers various room types within the campus. 11 halls of residence with a total of 2,352 beds (approximately 2350) to suit your budget. The rooms range from single ensuite, twin share to four shared bedrooms. All the halls are within easy walking distance to the academic buildings, sports facilities, food, retail and leisure facilities. Each residential hall has its own Hall Wardens (staff) and Hall Tutors (postgraduate students) who will be available to provide assistance related to your safety and welfare.

Accommodation fees include water, electricity and internet connection. The room rental will be billed on a quarterly basis and students in air-conditioning rooms will be billed on a quarterly basis for air-conditioning usage exceeding 200kwH based on a separate meter reading. Coin-operated laundry washing machines and dryers are available at both Student Village North and South. Clothes lines and drying areas are also available within the residential halls. Students can use the coin-operated launderette services at their own expense.
Different room types are available to suit your budget and preference. Applicants must prioritise their choice of room type from 1 (first to 5 (fifth). The accommodation office cannot process your application if you have selected less than five choices. Kindly be reminded that the university follows a “first come, first served with payment” policy to confirm the room type.
