The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Industrial Design at Asia Pacific University is a practice-led degree focused on turning ideas into workable products and design concepts. It introduces the foundations of industrial design through drawing, creative thinking, model making and the design process, while also building confidence in digital sketching and 3D modelling.
As the course progresses, students move into more advanced design thinking that responds to user needs, materials, ergonomics and manufacturing considerations. APU also gives the degree a strong applied dimension through a 16-week industrial training period and a final-year project, with opportunities to develop a chosen specialism in product, transport, furniture or sustainable design.
