The Master of Counselling at IMU is a two-year postgraduate programme designed to prepare graduates for professional counselling roles in educational, healthcare, community, and organisational settings. The programme integrates counselling theory, skills development, supervised practicum, and research. Students will explore specialised areas such as career counselling, multicultural counselling, trauma, and expressive art therapy. A personal statement is encouraged as part of the application. Graduates of this programme are eligible to register with the Board of Counsellors Malaysia and are well-positioned for roles in clinical practice, education, NGOs, or further doctoral study.
