The Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics (PGDEndo) at IMU is a flexible programme tailored for general dental practitioners aiming to enhance their expertise in endodontic care. Spanning 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time, the curriculum encompasses six modules totaling 30 credit hours. Students engage in a blend of online and face-to-face learning, including hands-on clinical sessions either at IMU’s Oral Health Centre or their own clinics. The programme emphasizes evidence-based treatment approaches, covering topics from pulpal and periapical pathophysiology to the management of moderately complex endodontic cases. Graduates will be proficient in utilizing advanced dental technologies, such as dental operating microscopes and CBCT, and are required to complete 25 clinical cases under supervision.

| Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent qualification | Registered under Division 1 of the Malaysian Dental Register and holds current Annual Practising Certificate (APC); or registered with the dental regulatory body in another country and eligible to be granted a Temporary Practising Certificate (TPC). |
| Eligibility for Clinical Training | Eligible to apply for an APC or TPC (whichever is applicable) that is specific to the IMU Oral Health Centre (OHC) and eligible to attend clinical sessions in the Centre during the study period of the programme. |
| Clinical Experience | A minimum of one (1) year clinical practice after basic degree. |
| Interest in Endodontics | Able to demonstrate an interest in Endodontics with appropriate baseline knowledge and skills in general dentistry. |
