Foundation in Arts (Arts and Design) at UCSI University is a one-year preparation route into art and design degree study. It builds a base in creative thinking, drawing, problem-solving and idea visualisation, while introducing basic design theory and terminology. The programme is aimed at developing the practical and conceptual grounding needed for progression into creative degree pathways.
Teaching is practice-oriented and combines coursework with written examinations, supported by lectures, tutorials, computer lab work, team-based projects, presentations and independent projects. Learning takes place in a supportive environment with guidance from university lecturers and industry experts, giving students an early taste of collaborative, hands-on creative study.
