The Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (Honours) at IMU is a comprehensive 5-year full-time undergraduate programme, distinguished as Malaysia’s first Chinese Medicine degree taught entirely in English. It integrates traditional Chinese medical philosophies with modern Western medical sciences, providing students with a holistic understanding of health and disease. The curriculum encompasses disciplines such as herbal therapy, acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, tuina, bone and spine manipulations, dietary therapy, and exercise therapy. Students gain early clinical exposure from the second year, culminating in extensive clinical attachments in the final year. Graduates are prepared for diverse career paths, including roles as general practitioners in Chinese Medicine, specialists, researchers, or educators, both locally and internationally.
