Overview
The Master of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) is a four-year full-time programme designed to prepare students for dynamic careers at the forefront of technology and innovation. Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) Malaysia, this programme ensures graduates meet the rigorous standards for Chartered Engineer status, recognised globally.
The curriculum integrates core engineering principles with innovative topics such as VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Robotics, Drones, Autonomous Vehicles, Renewable Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Signal Processing, and Software Programming. Students gain valuable hands-on experience from their first year through project-based learning in state-of-the-art practical lab facilities.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) | 77% average based on 6 subjects, including Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and either Chemistry or Physics. |
Gaokao (NCEE) and Senior High School Diploma (China) | 70% average in the Gaokao, including at least two required subjects (Mathematics and either Chemistry or Physics) at 75% and 73%, respectively. |
Advance Placement (AP) | 4, 4, 3, including AP Calculus and either AP Chemistry or AP Physics. |
Diploma – Local Institutions | Minimum GPA of 3.20 out of 4.0, with good grades in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and either Chemistry or Physics. |
