Overview
The Master of Science (MSc) in Acupuncture at IMU is Malaysia’s first and only postgraduate acupuncture programme. Designed for working professionals, this part-time programme spans 1.5 years and blends weekend face-to-face sessions with online learning. The curriculum integrates traditional Chinese medicine theories with modern allopathic knowledge and emphasizes safe clinical practices through rigorous hands-on training. Students gain practical experience via cadaveric dissection workshops and supervised clinical sessions to deepen anatomical and therapeutic proficiency. Graduates will be well-positioned to apply acupuncture safely and effectively within a range of healthcare settings, enhancing their clinical scope and impact.

| Bachelor’s Degree | A bachelor’s degree in Chinese medicine, Medicine**, Medical Sciences** or its equivalent with a minimum cGPA 2.50 and above as accepted by University’s Senate. |
| Alternative Entry | A bachelor’s degree in Chinese medicine, Medicine**, Medical Sciences** or its equivalent not meeting cGPA 2.50 will be subjected to a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience. |
