Overview
The Postgraduate Diploma in Prosthodontics (PGDPros) at IMU is designed for general dental practitioners aiming to enhance their expertise in prosthodontic care. Offered as a 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time programme, it comprises six modules totaling 30 credit hours. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practices, covering treatment planning and procedures for partial and complete edentulism, with a multidisciplinary approach to managing prosthodontic cases and complications. Students engage in a blend of online and face-to-face learning, including hands-on clinical sessions at IMU’s Oral Health Centre or their own clinics. The programme also incorporates the use of advanced digital technologies such as Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) and Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD-CAM).

Requirements
| Qualification | Requirements |

| Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent qualification | Registered under Division 1 of the Malaysian Dental Register and holds current Annual Practising Certificate (APC); or registered with the dental regulatory body in another country and eligible to be granted a Temporary Practising Certificate (TPC). |
| Clinical Eligibility | Eligible to apply for an APC or TPC (whichever is applicable) that is specific to the IMU Oral Health Centre (OHC) and eligible to attend clinical sessions in the Centre during the study period of the programme. |
| Clinical Experience | A minimum of one (1) year clinical practice after basic degree. |
| Interest in Prosthodontics | Able to demonstrate an interest in Prosthodontics with appropriate baseline knowledge and skills in general dentistry. |
| Health Requirements | Health requirements as required by IMU. |
