Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Medical Biotechnology at IMU is a 3-year programme that equips students with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills at the intersection of biotechnology, medicine, and healthcare. Students learn to apply biotechnology techniques to diagnose, monitor, and treat diseases, with emphasis on areas like molecular biology, immunology, bioprocess technology, cancer biotechnology, and forensic science. The curriculum includes a blend of classroom learning, laboratory training, and industrial attachment to ensure readiness for careers in research, diagnostics, healthcare innovation, and biopharma industries. Graduates will be well-prepared to contribute to advancements in medical technology or pursue further studies such as master’s or PhD programmes in biomedical or life sciences.
